Catherine, known as CLDJ of our forum, joined the club toward the end of last year to finally get to the bottom of a couple niggles she had encountered with her beloved Paseo ST, named Topsy.

In need of a couple of small replacement interior parts which had picked up damage over time, Catherine found our forum and the parts needed from myself. As luck would have it Catherines travels saw her passing not too far from my home, so we met up for a chat and to fit the replacement items.

Ever since, Catherine has shown great amounts of enthusiasm for both her car and our website, having helped with some written website work and checking of spelling and grammar.

Topsy, a 1996 Paseo ST in the catchy Tropicana paintwork, was supplied new by Cooper Toyota of Park Lane in London to a friend of Catherines. When the time came for that friend to be parting with her Paseo, Catherine jumped at the chance of owning such a distinct car. And still, after owning Topsy for nearly 20 years and having done a little more than 170,000 miles in it, Catherines enthusiasm still grows.

To celebrate Topsys 21st birthday, Catherine has had the rusty wheelarches rectified with her local garage, who have maintained Topsy since the early years of ownership. It is safe to say that Topsy is in the best hands around, and looks fantastic with the shiny new paintwork. Soon to be added to the small list of expenditure, will be some fresh clean wheel trims to replace scuffed examples. They, ofcourse, are going to be direct replacements like for like with original Toyota items.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Catherine for not only purchasing parts off me, and not only for approaching me for any help that she requires, but also for her great hospitality and general good nature. And a great thanks for the help with the website.

As you can see, Topsy is an absolute credit to Catherine, and likewise Catherine is a credit to Topsy.

Beautiful and the car is very nice too lol

The garage did a cracking job on the arches, you'd never know there was ever rust on those. Excellent work.

Great thanks actually are due to Galliano; an incredible help with a wealth of knowledge and an eagerness to help.
I'm looking forward to the Meet in September and hope to find others just as devoted to their Paseos.
By the way, anyone got a full Toyota exhaust knocking around that they want to sell!?

It's what we are here for! Where there is a will there is always a way.

I'm not sure if I have the mid-pipe, but I definitely have a backbox in good condition. I'll check on the mid-pipe when I'm next at my shed.
