Cheers... need wonder no more...
I was woken from my enjoyable sleep by Lost Cause at 7am before he went to work, so out I had to go to move the car.
Sadly his dad had taken the red ST to work this morning so I didn't get to have a snout around it in the daylight. But with the driveway now free I pulled it over and set about fitting the door cards...
Needless to say I'm very very very very happy with them. They are pretty clean, there's no tears or rips, no burns, the bolster is plump and the seats almost feel as if they are softer. Maybe it's just as they weren't as well used as my last ones.

And another note, I'm really going to go to town on everything I have and dwindle the hoard of parts down. When the weather is warmer I'll turf everything out and photograph it all and put it up for sale. So you guys have a bit of time to think what you need.
It's getting out of control!

Interior looks great, you've inspired me to get something sorted for mine. As for the garage, you're certainly maximising the use of space. I could do with a bottom cam belt cover if you have one stashed away in there somewhere?

Re: The Hoard/Collection/Obsession.
So... a little update... Rhys is back in my possession again now and I couldn't grin any more than I am.
However not without damage. But the front lip is an easy sort even just with touch up paint...
However the rear bumper is pretty bad. How a bumper could get some severed I've no idea.
And the interior is in a right state, with an awful smell too.
So the big clean up starts!

Great news mate! Glad to see this back in the right hands!
Shame it got used between. Needs a good clean up perhaps!

It seems that way aside from a few mechanical issues. It's just great to drive it again.
Anywho whilst cracking on with the Cynos, and crouching from the rain briefly, I took an arty shot of what is going to be a nightmare of sorting.

Well... that's the Cynos stripped and gone. Such a shame the car had nothing left of it to warrant putting it back on the road. I'd have been tempted to myself if there was.

Re: The Hoard/Collection/Obsession.
Further to the obsession... Here's something that for many years I've never caught up with.
A lady who lived near Burnham-On-Sea, about 20 miles from me, owned a black Paseo. It was well known between local owners for being seen but never spoken to. I'd see her on occasion on the old A38 but by the time I double back to chase and chat with her and she would disappear. I'd heard numerous regular locations and still never seen whenever I was passing. It then came up on ebay. It was previously registered as P97JYB, Satin black with the fill optional lip kit and ultra rare original optional decals (Galliano style available as a cost option) in silver. Sold new by Jeff Brown's Toyota of Lympsham, Weston-super-Mare - Where my silver Si was sold new too.
Here is comes on ebay and I managed to go and have a look. 134k on the clock, all driven by the lady owner. At 112k it had a replacement engine, for reasons unknown to the family she left it to as she sadly passed away in October last year aged 79. The car was written off in 2011 following a collision which damaged the door and wing. Insurers wrote it off, however she bought it back and had it repaired. This meant the decals were badly re done by the bodyshop but both sides needed replacing as she wouldn't have had them different from side to side. Full history by both Toyota dealers (Jeff Brown's and Arriva) who operated from the same premises, and then with Jeff Browns specialist garage which operates a little further down the same road. It was done yearly in the final years despite miles dramatically dropping. The car was in great shape and was blatantly lovingly kept - as I'd imagined it.
I did have my eye firmly on it. However it sold for £460 in the end, which was above what I could afford and realistically we have 6 between us now.

Re: The Hoard/Collection/Obsession.
saw this myself on ebay. looks a tidy number, and £460 is a steal even if it had been written off. im a bit surprised you didn't sell your body to buy it Galliano

Re: The Hoard/Collection/Obsession.
Even if written off it needs to be put through roadworthy tests and they are pretty damn thorough. So you know it's been done right. I would have loved to have taken it on and kept it locked away for a rainy day, but I've got to be realistic.
I actually viewed it on my way up to the Rumface residence, as he had bought a few bits from me and never had the time to come and collect. I have the time, so I delivered them.
I left early Tuesday morning to be back home to get a train... you'll have to see the new thread to appreciate what's going on there...

Re: The Hoard/Collection/Obsession.
While I'm playing around with the photo error fixing, I think it's time I gave this an update too.
Around about a month ago I took a short trip up to the Costa Del Yorkshire to visit Lost Cause, and to present his step son with the White Si.
I'm pretty pleased with how Andy has made this old girl look, I couldn't be happier with who the car went to.
So, we head off in the direction of a nearby town where Andy's partner informed us she spotted a Paseo... we had to go and take a look and leave a note for the club.
And then headed back to Andy's parents for a quick snoot around their Paseo too. And what a stunning car it is considering how it looked when they first picked it up.
And then back off to Andy's partners to park the White Si up, and off to Leeds for a meal. Once eaten we head back out to the carpark to be greeted by a stunning sunset. My phone is usually good with photos but on zoom for this it's pretty shocking. Still a nice photo anyway.
The next morning we headed for the British Motor Museum for a Sera owners club meet... was a great day. The museum is a great place to visit but sadly after talking to many owners and having a real good look about we didn't get long in the museum.
Was a great time. The following morning I jumped on the train and came back home.
