Hi all, recently purchased my Paseo and car was running fine, gave it a service and all good.  Booked in for cambelt and water pump change which was done and now there is a loud whirring type noise from that area.
Have removed aux belts to rule those out and power steering pump, water pump and alternator to rule those out also, thinking belt or tensioners at fault/noisy, garage dont seem interested and doing the usual its somthing else not what weve done, any ideas?

I would insist they have a look, sounds like a bearing issue (tensioner) or belt tension too tight.

I've experienced a similar issue with car. How did you manage to sort it out? Please share...

Ended up renewing the cambelt and tensioners again, making sure it was tensioned correctly, the top idler bearing had failed/was bad, seems to have sorted it out.
